Why Soulmates Don’t Exist

I think it’s safe to say that a majority of the planet at the very least believes that there are extra-terrestrials.

I don’t use the word alien because technically, we’d be aliens to other species if they were to exist.

Anyway, whether it’s 50.1% or 78%, it’s safe to say a majority of us do. We’re just waiting in anticipation for first contact to happen any day now, whether it be face to face or some kind of signal we receive.

So let’s say we know for a fact there’s life in other galaxies. Trillions and trillions of other intelligent, sentient life like we love to believe.

If there is other life out there, what makes you think your soulmate is here on Earth? The chances of finding your soulmate in general are extremely low. Add a trillion onto that and numbers are exponentially lower.

Now, if you’re one of those people who believe soulmates are just someone you just come across, you’re really compatible with each other, everything with it just flows and you decide you’re gonna give it a shot with genuine effort? That I’m on board with. It’s the people who believe everyone has someone who I’ve got a bone to pick with.

In my opinion, believing in “the one” sets unrealistic expectations, and makes no sense. Figured I’d be a party pooper real quick.
